auf’Decked – Discover DJs with us

The Concept

The people who craft DJ-sets week after week are the true backbone of today’s dance communities. Choosing great music is a main factor for any event’s success. Being a good DJ often takes years of experience and a profound knowledge of the music, dance styles and audiences they play for.

Putting effort and thought into their work results in many DJs developing an individual style and personal likings or specialities. Yet while bands usually have several platforms to broadcast their art also outside of their concerts (streaming, CDs, etc.), the work and dedication of DJs can often only be appreciated on the night of their gigs.

Discovered + On Decks –> auf’Decked

With our series „auf’Decked“, we want to make the DJ’s work visible and audible online and give them a platform to showcase their personal style and musical interests in the form of dedicated playlists. You can find them all on IG HOP’s Spotify.

Create a playlist on Spotify which meets the following criteria and send the link to christiane@ighop.at –>

•⁠ ⁠music which is special to you as a swing DJ
•⁠ ⁠reflects you and your DJ-style/likings
•⁠ ⁠features a length between 30 and 60 mins
•⁠ ⁠has a short title chosen by you
